Any gun shop should have Birchwood Casey Gun Scrubber in aerosol cans. It
works, and it works right now. Don't use it inside. You must carefully lube
immediately afterwards, because this stuff will remove ALL oils, greases,
etc., right down to the surface pores of the metal. Evaporates almost
instantly after use. Unprotected ferrous metals will begin to rust quickly
if not relubed afterwards. Won't harm bluing or other normal surface
coatings. I haven't seen anything that can beat it, but it would likely do
bad things to your brain if used in an enclosed space. I believe it contains
1,1,1 trichlorethane, so my apologies to the tree huggers.
