The AES kits are all assembled on a wooden base board. There is usually
a paste on label and then you drill holes where indicated and mount the
various components. Minimal amount of soldering involved. Usually the
coil, capacitor, tube socket, battery holders are all the major
components, sometimes a variable pot for the regeneration control.

A few resistors and capacitors are all the rest. Antenna, Ground,
headphone, etc. connections are via fahenenstock clips.

These are designed so they can be linked together. First build the
receiver, then the audio amp kit and then the RF amp.
