All vintage gear of all flavors is always welcome -

Because I can find nobody willing or available to retune my HF amplifier for the
Net, yours truly is going to attempt this project himself. I have not done one
since early in 1975. That was a Maverick 250 and it was for a Browning Golden
Eagle Mark iv. Fully legal for CB operation, of course! Ha Ha.

I will be using my grandson to read the meters, which will hopefully keep me out
of serious trouble. If you are driving down the road tomorrow afternoon and hear
something rattling, it is not your tail pipe bracket assembly, just my knees! If
you smell smoke, it is not your engine misfiring from that cheap gas you have
been buying to save money that has caused a carbon deposit coating on the spark
plugs, cylinder heads and piston rings plus a serious case of spark knock, but
my poor amplifier self-destructing in a shower of sparks and a cloud of acrid
smoke that would choke a biker with a sinus condition!

The pre-Net will commence, hopefully NOT with Taps, at 7:00 PM EDT, (2300 UTC).
The HCI Global Glow Roundtable will begin at 8:00 PM EDT, (0000 UTC). The
frequency will be 14.315 Mhz usb +/- for key clicks, mike splatter and the
shrill sound of my grandson's voice on the phone pleading with 911 for them to
send out people with rubber gloves and a metal cage for his Grandfather who has
gone electrically berserk and is trying to kill mosquitos with the West Nile
Virus by shooting them with sparks from his radio transmitter.

I hope to hear many of you on the air tomorrow night. Hopefully I will have
something to talk to you with too!
