Hi folks,
    I have become friends with Edgardo, YS1ECB, a physics teacher at the
American School of San Salvador.  We've corresponded about BA's since last
Spring, and he has some interesting projects.
    He has just written about his BC-348, as follows:

    "As you know I have a BC-348 Q Receiver and the volume control is
excessively noisy .This volume control has two sections ganged together The
Audio control is a 350,000 Ohms section and the AGC control is a 20,000 Ohms
section.Judging from the size of the controls they look to me like as s two
watt potentiometers.  If you can help me buy these controls I would
appreciate it much."
