One of the best glues available is RC 56 "Super Z" which will glue
anything to anything. Metal to plastic, wood to metal, plastic to wood.
It also will fill a void. Primarily used for building model planes.
I have used it to re glue Japanese tube glass to the bakelite base, re
glue the metal tube top cap in place. Doubtful that the tube works but
WW II Japanese tubes are rare items and even dead tubes are valuable.
Costs about $4.50 for a bottle(Plastic) from most hobby shops.
