I believe the difference is the 5963 has a controlled heater warm-up
specification.. putting one of these in series with a regular 12AU7 would
cause a higher IR drop across the 12AU7 , depending on where it is in the
series string... this might cause filament failure in the 12AU7.... Please
correct me if I'm wrong... 73 de Jordan...
