All vintage gear is always welcome -

Please try to join us on Saturday May 11th for the Hallicrafters Collectors
International 40 meter Net. It will begin with the pre-Net at 12:30 PM EDT,
(1630 UTC). If you hear an odd sound like somebody belching in the background,
that is precisely what it is. My grandson and one of his school mates have
entered a talent contest. They are practicing belching out Twinkle Twinkle
Little Star in two part harmony. It is not Frogzilla and friends doing a Spring
time mating seranade, just my grandson emitting burps at 105+ db! Probably get
kicked out of the contest, but may have a future doing Budweiser or Pepsi
commercials!

The HCI Net officially begins at 1:00 PM EDT, (1700 UTC). The frequency will be
7.280 Mhz lsb +/- for key clicks, mike splatter and the sound of neighborhood
motion sensors going off with a shrill whail worse than a Cat with its tail
caught in a roto-tiller!

I hope to hear some of you tomorrow, in spite of the nuttier than an imported
fruit cake propagation we have been having. How weird is it? Wednesday night
when the Global Glow was supposed to be going on, the band was long, and I do
mean LONG! KA1DGL in Florida was talking to VE4WI in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
and I heard niether of them. I was talking at the same time to a lady in
Barcelona, Spain! Then FL rose out of the swamps like that old flick the
Creature From The Black Spittoon. Then FL faded back out and in came Manitoba!
