All vintage gear is always welcome -

Yes, you read that correctly. The Saturday May 4th Hallicrafters Collectors
International 40 meter Net will feature an old time honest to ground rod
revival! There will be preaching on the vices of solid state and the blessings
bestowed on those who use those things that still go glow in the dark. We shall
endeavor to inspire those who have back slid from their CW key into the depths
of palm pilots and Amateur Radio TV. We might even pass the plate to collect
donations to buy space on a commercial satellite for some of those pathetic
programs being broadcast on the Ham Radio bands! Maybe like the seven deadly
sins, we can get rid of them.

This freshening of the spirit will commence with a moment of squealing and
squawking as the brotherhood of boat anchors tunes up to let their voices ring
loud and long at 1:00 PM EDT, (1700 UTC). The Cathode Choir will warm up their
pipes starting at 12:30 PM EDT, (1630 UTC) with some lively diversity of
bandwidth drifting from one sacred hum to another. The frequency for this
cleansing of the sole (they start to smell if not dipped in tuner cleaner
weekly) will be 7.280 Mhz lsb +/- for key clicks, mike splatter and the
unmistakable sound of Collins collectors shouting Latin phrases over their gear
as they sprinkle dioxint upon them. Or is that those tube crazed high end audio
nuts speaking in tongues on their cell phones trying to out bid each other on an
electronic auction?

Do not miss out on this experience that will cleanse the soles of your feet and
heal the holes in your wallet from the last Ham Fest you went glassy eyed at.
Bring a friend, bring a tale to tell, bring a problem for our schematic
soothsayers to slay and join with us for insights only gained through devotion
to vintage boat anchors and fingers sacrificed to a soldering gun.
