[Boatanchors] persistant intermittant noise

I was having an intermittant noise problem also that was heard all over
the radio.  raspy nasty sounding burpz burpz etc etc......  One day i
got really pi....ed off and started looking. the clothes dryer was
running.  found one of the heater elements was bad and arcing somewhere
somehow.  unplugging the dryer from its 220 outlet shut down the noise.
replaced the heater element and noise no longer persisted/existed.

Now i've got a new noise that sounds like computer noise but i believe
its coming from the converterbox that supplies me with TV and internet
service.  not mad enough yet to pursue it further.

procrastinate!  who me?
