Chuck,

It would be most interesting to read an accurate listing of who bought out whom,
when and why for all the various electronics companies since 1920. Nowadays it
is difficult to keep track of who owns what!

Sounds kinda like the old B&W 850A tank coil.
The early (antique) ones were silver plated, the
aluminum end plates had the edges rounded,
and the contacts were of better spring material.
I think this happened when the original B&W got
bought out by someone...not sure who...but the
quality of the "B&W" products dropped off dramatically
after that... anyone know who that was who bought
them out?

For Sale:

B & W 425 "antique" low pass filter
I know most people are not going to think that a B & W 425
low pass filter is that old, but this one is. I never saw one
like it before. It appears that the case is made of copper,
or at least copper plated, and then painted. There are just
enough of the paint flakes coming off to see the copper
underneath. The weight of this filter is about twice that of
the more modern B & W 425 filters. In case any one does
not know, the 425 is rated to take full legal power, and cuts
off just above 10 meters. This one is $30.

I also have a more modern "normal" 425 filter available.
That is how I could make the comparison! It is also $30.

Buy both for $55.

Prices do not include shipping from Florida,

Thanks.

Ken, W8EK
