[Boatanchors] Michigan Hamfest Weekend

The big Michigan weekend for swaps is almost upon us.  If you can find an
excuse to be around the middle of the mitten, stop by the Midland Swap this
coming Saturday.  See:

There are campsites available at very low cost so you can come in Friday,
hook up, then fall out of bed right into the swap Saturday morning.  There
are plenty of hotels within a few blocks of the fairgrounds, too.  The
Midland swap is right across the street from the mall, so if the XYL is into
that whole mall thing, there's something for her to do.

There will also be VE exams at the swap.  We are again expecting a good
turnout ... VE exams seem to be drawing an unusually large selection of
candidates lately <g>

If you need hollow state devices, the Midland club has a large number of
valves available for sale at the swap.

After the Midland swap shuts down on Saturday, there's plenty of time to
head downstate to the Monroe swap on Sunday.  What a great Father's Day
present - 2 hamfests in one weekend.

So let the XYL know you'd like to visit Michigan this weekend, and come on
out.
