Ditto on the thanks, Chuck
Fred -- I though I got "the" deal for $7, but you beat me by a buck.
(this one's supposed to be in good shape)
More important though ... Could this be the "magic" book? Some are too
new and don't cover higher voltages, not to mention the vacuum is filled
in on the active devices with silicon or geraniums or somethin'. Others
are too old, and promise of new tube numbers to come with even more than
3 elements. One of my golden oldies authoritatively states that the
limit of the radio spectrum has been pegged at about 200 mega-cycles, but
acknowledged that some thoreticians figure it can go somewhat higher,
maybe even 300. So, the magic book has to be somewhere in between. Mid
'70s sounds like a good vintage.
Also many thanks to Dick Keller who made the initial archeological
breakthrough of the boatanchor kind. Keep digging for clues. Heck, the
regular archeologists have to work with pottery fragments.
