Hi Gang,

During WW2  I had my electrical hawaiian guitar with me at basic training at 
Shepard Field Texas....I had no amp with me....I wrote a good friend in New 
Orleans and asked if he could build up one of the circuits for me so I could 
broadcast into BC radios - there's alwaysw a BC radio around....
He built up a circuit using a single tube as I remember which had a filament 
for 
115V  making the one tube circuit easy....It worked fine and I used it quite 
often while there including when I was in the hospital on the base....
