You have one of the A.R.C. commercial type-12 radio receivers. I think
the R-22 was one of the last of the breed, which included the R-11 (190
- 550 kcs) based on the old R-23/ARC-5 or BC-453 and the R-10 (broadcast
band) based on the old R-24/ARC-5 or BC-946. The main differences was
no local dial, and no BFO, and all connectors on the front. The R-22
was a later developement of the R-10, with only one multi-pin connector
on the front panel rather than the three of the R-10 and R-11. The
dynamotor is the D-10. The D-10 has a military momenclatured equivalent
called the DY-86/ARN-30, but there were no military nomenclatured
equivalents of the R-10, R-11, or R-22.

I have a A.R.C. manual for the type-12 sets. It includes the R-10, but
not the later R-22.
