VARIABLE CAPS

100. Nine small air variables, the trimmer-type units with the 7/8-inch
diameter plates and centered shafts. Plate spacing is approx. 30 plates per
inch. All appear to have been in equipment at some point. Those in this lot
have values that I'd estimate in the 100 to 120 pf max range. Four have
quarter-inch shafts, five are screwdriver adjust. $8 for the batch.
101. Seven small air variables. Same type capacitors as #100 above, but
values estimated in the 50 pf max range. One has a long quarter-inch shaft;
one has a short quarter-inch shaft. Number 7 in this lot is one with value
estimated at about 70 pf; this one has a short quarter-inch shaft. $6
102. The rest of the small air variables of the type in #100, total of seven
units. Five units, all with max values I'd estimate in the 20-40 pf range.
The sixth is a higher-capacitance unit that has had rotor plates removed to
bring its max value down into what I'd guess is the 20-30 pf range. These
six are screwdriver adjust. The seventh unit is a Hammarlund HF-35 that has
had rotor and stator plates removed to bring it down to what I'd guess is
the 20 pf max range; this one has a quarter-inch shaft. $6
102A. Three Hammarlund HF15 variable caps, quarter inch shafts. Two mount on
panel or via mounting foot with threaded hole; one is panel mount only. All
three $8

If someone can use the whole batch of capacitors, all of GROUP 1, I'll take
$23 plus $7 shipping for all the above (100, 101, 102, 102A) shipped to
lower 48.

total of 70-90 pcs. $6.
111. Pkg of old-style red rectangular silver mica caps by Elmenco. Most read
(top row) blk brn brn and (bottom row) yel gold brn...or maybe that's
backwards, it's been a long time since I've decoded some of these! About 2
dozen or a few more. $6.
112. Feedthru caps. Upwards of 40, no value marked. These look like they'd
fit into about a 3/16 inch hole. $5
113. Feedthru caps, various types, button and screw-mount. 60-plus pcs. $6
115. Resistors 68 ohm, quarter watt, composition, about 40 pcs. 0.50

GROUP 3 (items 138-140)

138. A real gem. Variable capacitor/Jackson Bros. integrated drive/cap
assembly. Double bearing cap is labeled 18 pf, which looks about right. In
addition to the Jackson 6:1 reduction drive, unit has additional gearing so
that about six turns of quarter-inch shaft rotates cap through its 180
degree rotation. Cap and drive mounted on frame with three threaded mounting
holes. This is a beauty and would be a superb VFO cap. $18.

139. Jackson Bros. 6:1 reduction drive assembly, mounts with one screw ear.
Quarter inch shaft on front, coupler to quarter inch shaft on back. Has
flange for pointer with two small screws in flange to hold pointer or dial.
Secures to driven shaft with two set screws, one of which is missing. $10.

140. Another 6:1 reduction drive, Jackson Bros. style but does not say
Jackson Bros. May be by someone else - no manufacturers name shown. Drive
mounts with two screw ears. Quarter inch shaft on front. Front flange for
pointer/dial, but small screws missing from flange. On the back, it couples
to quarter inch control shaft using two set screws. Long set screws
included. Brass front shaft, otherwise unit is silver color. $9.

141. Front panel reduction drive/protractor dial/front bezel with glass
front, "YAMADA E.C. YN-5 DIAL." Front face measures about 8 in. wide and 5
in. high. Protractor scale has six scales labeled 1 through 6 in black plus
logging scale calibrated from 0 to 200 in red. Taut-wire pointer in heavier
black frame. Front shaft is 5/16 in diameter (NOTE NOT QUARTER INCH) and
there is no knob. You'll need to provide a front knob. Rear of reduction
unit is a quarter inch shaft; you'd use a shaft coupler to couple to the
capacitor. Unit is presently mounted on a metal panel which I suppose could
serve as a template for subsequent installations. Just under four turns of
front shaft turns back shaft through about 180 degrees. A very classy unit.
$25.

For all four GROUP 3 items, $43 plus $8 shipping (I'll pick up any extra
shipping in lower 48)

For all the above (Groups 1, 2 and 3),$120 plus $14 shipping (I'll pick up
any extra shipping in lower 48)

Thanks.
