Hi all.
During my search in a big pile of trashed mil material (about 5 to 6 cubic meters and I remove it all) I found a lot of gaskets, perhaps a 30 per cent of the pile, and each one was in perfect condition ( I keep a small quantity, most toroids but also others).
I don't know the composition of the rubber but do know how the mil stored it.
They were packed inside a carton box or wrapped in paper and then hermetically sealed inside something like a tetrabrick material but flexible. The inner layer is plastic, then aluminum, then dont know if anything else, and the last one (external) are of paper or something more straigtener like fabric. None of them were vacuum stored neither there was anythingelse inside. No talcum or oil nor even a humidity bag disecant as I found inside some of the electronics spare parts bags.
I forget to say the stored date: mid 50's
regards
