[Boatanchors] B & W (TYPE) TANK COIL NEEDED

Good thought, Dee.
B&W (see http://www.bwantennas.com/ama/coilcat.ama.htm ) makes 2-1/2" and 3"
dia inductor stock in both Lexan and acrylic in several tpi's. Not cheap,
but one piece of 6 tpi and one piece of 4 tpi might make 4 or 5 Ranger
coils, I'd think. It would still take some clever and diligent handwork
because of the split 5-section Ranger coil design, with two sections being
what looks like 4 tpi (?). Looks doable, though. The stuff is pretty
expensive at $50 - $75 per section depending on whether you buy Lexan or
acrylic. Anybody tried this?
73, Jerry W5KP (4 Rangers and a Valiant, so always looking for parts
sources!)
