Hello,

I need help in identifying an S-Meter.

I picked up a home brew radio that had a Hallicrafters S-Meter installed. I
have looked through the pictures of Hallicrafters radios on the web, but
haven't seen enough to determine what radio this originally belonged in.
The meter is round with a dark translucent face, and the hole in the middle
of the back for the grommet and pilot light. The scale goes to 40 db over
S-9, but the line for the scale isn't a true arc, but is flattened. The
front of the meter has three holes for mounting, one at the 12 o'clock, one
at 4 and one at 8. The needle rests at the right stop of the meter with no
power applied. I suspect that it is one of those that is partially hidden
behind the front panel, like the SX-71.

I can e-mail a picture if required to identify this unit.

Thanks,
Barry
