[Boatanchors] Henry Radio Tempo S5 2 Meter HT

Good evening listers,

I have a Henry Radio Tempo S5 2 Meter HT that is complete but without 
batteries, manual or any possible accessories.  Since it can't be worth much 
and I got it for zip, I'd like to know if there is an easy way to check to 
see if it works without buying batteries.  It has a charger jack on the rear 
panel but no indication what polarity or voltage.  Any info would be 
appreciated including what kind of batteries it uses.  I hate to toss it out 
if it works.  If nothing else, I could use it on 146.52.
