I have FINALLY got the Valiant running with good RF on all bands etc etc etc. 
NOW am having a problem with the VFO. The VR tube lights up excessively, and 
I suspect I know the resistor that has "changed". I remember seeing some 
posts and or articles some where covering some mods to VFO's in the Ranger 
and Valiant. Nice little oven that Mr. Johnson built there. Any help to point 
me towards some info would be appreciated.........thanks    Al/W8FAX
