Comparing me to the *&^%$#@ in Paris, Texas is offensive, I am not forcing
anyone to get them but as everyone knows they are very hard to find and I
have worked out a deal to have a quantity of them made and as you and most
folks know Duane I have been around for a long time and am simply trying to
get a large enough order to get the cost down to a reasonable price, and if
there are any concerns just pay with a United States Postal Money Order, no
one can hide from them....

Being as a number of boat anchor lovers have been ripped off by several in
the
Paris, TX area already, you can not fault them for being cautious, careful
and
maybe even suspicious. No reflection on you personally, just that several
scams
have come out of this geographical area the past year. Because of the
dishonesty
by which items have been represented on the Bay of E, many Hams, short-wave
listeners and radio hobbyists are more than a little nervous buying things
nowadays.
Again, not accusing you of anything, just making you aware that all that
glitters is not always Gold, sometimes it is Iron Pyrite.

I have had a few folks question the shipping cost, please keep in mind that
I must buy a box for each order and have a manual printed then there is the
bubble wrap, ya priced that stuff lately... they don't give it away. Then
there are the extra screws to mount it with in the event you do not have the
correct ones. And of course the cost of sending it to you. In short there
are a lot of little expenses that must be met in order to get a product like
this out. I am not getting rich over the loose change that is left over.....
Also I want to remind everyone that has not sent there money in yet for the
gears, no money NO gears, the gears MUST be paid for before I can pick them
up, I can't float that kind of money for you, if you have not sent your
money in yet please get it in the mail TODAY. Update on the 4:1 knob: I
expect a sample knob very soon and will post pictures of it on my web site
for all to see as soon as I have the pictures.
I am sure everyone will be very pleased with the gears & knob and for those
asking about using it on other radios I understand they will fit all the 51J
& 75A series radios and of course the KWS-1's. One last thing the cup gear
will be brass, after a few conversations with a number of folks expressing
concerns about the aluminum gear not holding up I changed it to brass, so
the gear set will be an exact copy of the original Collins 4:1 gear set.
