The HCI 40 meter Net will be held on Saturday April 20Th at 1:00 PM EDT, (1700
UTC). The pre-Net is at 12:30 PM EDT, (1630 UTC). The frequency is 7.280 Mhz
lsb.

As some of you have doubtless noticed, a group of four has moved onto this
frequency prior to the Net and is not moving. I have spoken to them politely
about this on the air several times the past three weeks. I have written to two
of them privately by e-mail. They refuse to cooperate. I offered to drop the
pre-Net if they would wrap up their chit chat by 1700 UTC. They refused.

If some of you can show up extra early, perhaps we can nail the frequency down
and keep it. Last week they did move to 7.281 Mhz lsb, making it almost
impossible for us to hold the Net, even moving up the band as I had done the
past weeks. There are others using the frequencies above, so we can only move so
far!

We have used the frequency for four years, the Net is well advertised, and is no
secret. We will hold the HCI Net as scheduled and attempt to resolve the issues
with mutual cooperation. If reason fails, then Frogzilla may have to sharpen his
teeth on some tower legs!

I hope to hear many of you tomorrow.
