Hey everyone,

We have a noise on our 2m repeater down here that they haven't been able to
locate. Haven't found it on a scope yet and seems to be only on the output.
It comes on when the repeater id's. From the way I understand it, most all
the equipment has been swapped out trying to eliminate it. A former Motorola
tech apparently tried 3 or 4 times and could not locate it on his scope. No
one has heard it on the input yet. It has been found on 2 other local
repeaters and the fire dept repeater some 10miles away.

We put a DCI 2m band pass filter on it with no success either. It did help
with the intermod though.

The sound file I have is 6MB. If you would be interested in listening to see
if you recognize it please let me know and I will send it to you. Maybe
someone from the OKI interference group has run into a similar sound. I just
sent the file to DCI in the hopes one of their technicians can help.

I'm just trying to help out in any way I can. The repeater is located on the
hospital and is used for ARES/RACES.

Thanks for your help,

Ed Thornsburg KF8PD
