Jim has consistently demonstrated his affection for and commitment to 
amateur radio.  As District Director, he is in a position to help 
thwart commercial and governmental efforts to usurp our frequencies, 
challenge governmental efforts to "zone" us out of existence, and act 
as an ambassador with private and public agencies.
