Hi,
Sorry for the late notice, I just got back in town and there was no
internet access in the state park.

We will have the second and final planning meeting for Field Day this
evening at Smith Park.  In no particular order, the topics to be discussed
include:
1)  food - no one wants to eat a raw burger, so we need to make sure that
we have grills and propane.
2)  shelter - likewise, we don't want to have to eat in the rain or under
a searing sun.  Of course it is a good idea to keep the equipment dry.
3)  requests and assignments from station captains - W8EH, KD8W and the
captain from BCVHF.  Lots of little details have to be acted on to ensure
a properly working station.
4)  generator caption - someone to make sure that the promised gas has
arrived and that the generator is filled at appropriate times.
5)  planning on the order in which the antennas/antenna supports will be
installed.  Some require 5 or 6 people for a relatively short time, others
are smaller or solo activities.  We need to plan out manpower so that
helpers are neither exhausted or bored.
6)  emptying the trailer to find the antennas, coax, power cables, tables 
and the tower.
7)  claiming dibs on who gets what camping spot.
8)  lots of other things that I can't think of now.

We will meet at 7:00 pm for what is hopefully a short meeting.  Pass the
word to BCVHF - unfortunately, I'm not on their list.
