[BARC-List] N4G Special Event Guilford Court House March 16-17, 2013

Hi Everyone
 
This weekend (March 16-17) there is a special event station
in Greensboro, NC. The event is called, N4G Special Event Guilford Court House.
 
The event commemorates the 232nd anniversary of
the Battle of Guilford Courthouse, March 15, 1781. The battle was fought
between the British regulars (numbering 1,900, led by General Cornwallis) and American
forces consisting of militias from different states and American regulars (total
force of 4,400 led by General Greene). Before the American were forced to withdraw
from the field, they inflected heavy losses on the British. The combined losses
of both men and equipment forced Cornwallis to move to the coast to be
resupplied, thus setting up his defeat by Washington at Yorktown.
