Subject: 2013 Station Test for WRTC - looking for more ops

Please redistribute to your club ASAP...many thanks! We can use some
more ops.

----

The 2013 Station Test for WRTC locations and stations will be happening
during the IARU HF Championship the weekend of July 13-14, 2013. The WRTC
organizers are planning to set up 30 stations to test readiness for the big
event in 2014.

We are looking for operators willing to visit New England for the weekend
and use the WRTC antenna set ups. This will provide valuable data for
confirming the equality of the sites and provide log data to the competitors
that will be attending next year.

Details on the 2013 station test are available at
http://www.wrtc2014.org/competition/2013-station-test/

You can see photos and stories about the 2012 test at
http://www.wrtc2014.org/competition/2012-station-test/

What is needed? We are looking for four or five 1-4 person teams that are
willing to bring radios and a desire to work the 24 hours of the contest.
See http://www.wrtc2014.org/competition/station-description/ for a list of
what equipment the WRTC organizers will provide and what the competitors
will need to bring.

We are also looking for ops willing to do part time efforts. Several of the
existing teams are looking for extra help or relief operators.

Fly in or drive in. This is your chance to get a taste of the WRTC
operating experience.

The stations will be located along I-495 between Pepperell, MA and Carver,
MA.

If you have an interest, please contact Tom Frenaye, K1KI, immediately.

For everyone who can’t make it to New England, please take a few minutes
during the IARU contest and work the WRTC Test Stations. The list of
callsigns will be updated on the web page
( http://www.wrtc2014.org/competition/2013-station-test/ ) as they are
confirmed.
