Be aware that the text found by going through the MMRA website is NOT the law - it is the House committee report . Any final amendments made by the full House and the Senate/House conference may not be included - and they could be significant.

The New Massachusetts anti texting law goes into effect on Sep 30. On last nights MMRA TIAOS net there was a suggestion from KB1OQA that amateur radio operators may want to have a copy of this law with a copy on their FCC license in their glove compartments. 

Thanks to KB1OQA the text of the new law has been made available on the mmra web site (near the bottom) with the portion pertaining to the amateur radio exemption highlighted in bold.
