[BARC-List] BARC Field Day June 28

BARC will hold its field day on June 28, 2008 at Larz Anderson Park in 
Brookline (directions  in the June SPARC) . Set-up time is 1000 hrs and 
take down is around 1900 hrs. The club will set-up HF and 2 m/70 cm 
stations and a have generator available for power. Everyone is invited 
to join us. You can set-up your own station; try out an antenna you 
made; or just come by and say "HI".

For those of you who have not been to Larz Anderson Park, it is a scenic 
park that over looks the city of Boston. It is a wonderful place to take 
the family for a picnic lunch and the sun set is beautiful. So whether 
you decide: to stay all day; bring the family on a picnic; or just drop 
by to say hi, the main purpose of field day is to have fun by meeting 
club members and their families.

So come and join us an have some fun.


  Some administrative notes:

     - The club is still looking for help to set-up and take down.
     - The club will have water and soda available, so if you plan to 
stay all day you would need to bring your own food.
     - Field Day will be one of the topics discussed at the the club 
meeting this Thursday the 19 of June at the Newton Police Dept.,1321 
Washington St, West Newton. So come by and let us know what you would like.
