Message to BARC members

The BARC Holiday Party is a couple of weeks away. If you have not
signed up, do not miss this chance for fun and excellent food. The
Party will be at the Stockyard Restaurant in Brighton on Wednesday,
12 December, starting at 7:00 pm. More details in the November
newsletter at www.barc.org .

If you did not yet send a check, you can pay at the door. Menu
selection is at the table. Please join us and have a great time.

Note: The December General meeting is omitted.

For your added interest, BARC will participate in SKYWARN Recognition
Day next Saturday, 1 December. As in the past four years, we will set
up antennas and stations at the Blue Hill Observatory at the top of
Great Blue Hill in Milton. This observatory is the holder of the
oldest weather records in the country.

Our stations will be on HF and VHF, and you are invited to operate or
just observe (or maybe lend a hand). We will try to contact hams at
National Weather Service offices across the US and Canada, as well as
any stations calling. Tours of the meteorological facility can be
arranged. Set up will be about 9:00 am, and we plan to close at
3:00 pm.

For more details or to assist, contact Mark, KB1EKN at
emgmgt at comcast.net .

Bob Salow, WA1IDA
President
Boston Amateur Radio Club
