[BARC-List] Cambridge new communications facility

Our city's new Police station is under construction according to
the article at

which includes
"the new ECC will include state-of-the-art emergency communications facilities"

Way back when, in preparation for a possible Y2k crisis, there was a
comprehensive Amateur Radio station set up in the Norfolk St. DPW HQ.
Does anybody know what became of it? Is the City in contact with representatives
of the Amateur Radio community to include ham communications and operators
in the new Emergency Communications facility?
