For $15 I could be a sport. The Building 19 here in Natick had about 8 on a well hidden shelf with no sign to locate them. They are new, made in China, and well packed in two layers of bubble wrap and two kinds of cardboard. It comes with extensive instructions (sometimes redundant) which are actually in readable English.

It is a hand-held unit with a belt holster and a lanyard. Three AA batteries (super carbon-zinc) are included. An AC adapter (7.5 V) can be plugged in, but is not supplied.

It receives all seven NOAA channels, and has a clock with two alarms. The SAME information must be obtained from the NOAA website and programmed into the radio. You can listen to the selected weather channel or enable the audio only when an alert is broadcast. The audio quality is good.

Not a bad deal - particularly for portable use.
