I have begun the updates for the EMA FD05 web site [1] by updating my
comments on "how plann FD as an ARES ICS exercise" [2], since planning
is the
first thing we all need to do.
The new org-chart has the "ARES can do this" boxes highlighted. (I am NOT
recommending making Field Day committees bigger for ICS -- although some
clubs
need to for other reasons! ICS says the boxes are *conceptual* roles, you
don't need SEPARATE chiefs for each box. Each of your committee members is
already handling several of these roles, this just gives them ICS names.)
Obviously most of the updates won't occur until after ARRL releases the 2005
packet, logo, etc., the new EMA Section leadership announce their
strategy/goals, and clubs announce their plans. I again hope to have a web
form to stream-line club updates, but it didn't get off the ground over
Xmas,
so I'm not sure if it will happen.
