[BARC-List] Electronics education?

Back in college I never got the electronics education I needed or wanted.
Ham radio helped a bit, but I still lack a great deal. About a year ago
I asked many people about recommended evening classes or similar for
hands-on, little-math (no calculus) education, and some suggested Harvard
Extension. I tried that class, but it fell way short of what works for
me.
I'm now re-seeking suggestions for electronics classes, day or night.
Northeastern University's certificate program requires calculus, so I will
assume it involves more theory than I desire. I'm looking again at RETS
Technical school, formerly in Boston on Comm Ave, now in Charlestown.
I live in Somerville, so this would be an easy commute for me. Opinions
of RETS?
Is there anywhere else I might be overlooking? A possible career shift to
hands-on electronics is a possibility, provided I get the right education
that fits my needs - learning the basics, then having the knowledge to
design, build, and troubleshoot most anything.
Thanks for any leads.
Scott, WY1Z
