SAVANNAH, June 8, 2004‹ Beginning today and continuing through Thursday,
Georgia will play host to a summit of leaders from the Group of Eight
industrialized nations including Canada, Britain, Russia, France, Germany,

summit. The Salvation Army began serving freshly cooked meals and cold
drinks on Saturday and is estimated to continue serving through the end of
the week.
One of the largest charitable and service organizations in the world, The
Salvation Army has been in existence since 1865, helping those in need
without discrimination. The Salvation Army provides food for the hungry,

opportunities for underprivileged children, relief for disaster victims,
assistance for the disabled and many more services to assist those in need.
