I received a few emails from doubting Thomas's, questioning my wisdom on
forwarding the Joshua Story, his quest for qsl cards, so I wrote directly to
Larry to put their minds at ease.
. . . below is his reply. frank

Hi Frank;
Sorry it has taken me a few days to get back to you. The story about Joshua
is not a hoax. I know QRZ.COM moved the story to there talk and opinion
forum because of some hoax comment they received. I do not know what I
could send you via email but if you wish to call me, you may, at (619)
460-1107 after 5:30pst.
You may enjoy part of a letter sent to me by Joshua's Grandmother.

" We are on baby countdown. Dr. says the baby is in position. R..... is
ready, and now we wait. She has wisely decided not to go to Ann Arbor for
Josh's PT, as it is a LONG way from home and her hospital, should she go
into labor. So Josh and I go to rehab on our own three days a week.
Josh is working hard at PT. He really took some giant steps backward
since surgery in NOV., and being back in the wheelchair for 4 weeks. His
arches are gone, he has toe-drop, his ankles roll in, which in turn makes
his hips out of line. But he works through the pain, and remains a trooper.
currently, new shoes, with an orthotic insert, are helping the ankle-roll.
He works out on the equipment a lot, does a lot of rehab to improve his
balance, and his reward after each session is a 10 pt game of floor hockey
with his PT.
We hope to learn the results of his most recent CT on the 23rd. The Dr.
is still mapping it, to determine if surgery will be required to correct
some growth problems in the left leg (that's the good leg). We were to have
gone this past Wednesday, but we got hit with a huge snowstorm, dumping 7
inches on us, so we canceled and rescheduled."

Joshua now has a new baby brother.

Thank you for all your help,
Larry, AE6AV
