Hello to All:
I read this interesting story about an RFI case in a town near =
where I use to live- in snow country. See if you can solve this puzzle =
in Grafton.
Dan, KA1RDZ
Ok Graftonites, who knows this one?=20
I live on Keith Hill Rd in South Grafton and have noticed some very =
strong radio interference. I am noticing it as a regular spaced single =
or double pulse every roughly 3 seconds which is very strong in the 900 =
Mhz and 2.4 Ghz bands (yes my baby monitors pick it up pretty well), the =
lower frequencies of AM radio are effected by it as are some UHF and VHF =
channels. I am noticing it for at least 200 meters North or South on =
122 from the KH rd intersection; I couldn't say if it is stronger =
heading to the North or Northeast up KH hill.
While I have cable like most people and this doesn't effect me daily =
except for the baby monitors, during a power outage it was remarkable to =
notice the difference in reception on a battery operated TV. The signal =
quality immediately went downhill when the power came back on. Have you =
heard of a transmitter in the area which may be generating a constant =
signal like the one I described? Thanks in advance for any information =
you may have to share.
Please email Blackstone Daily and we shall pass the news on within the =
daily news, if an answer is ascertained. Thank you.=20
