Scott,

Good taste, the 2010 is a classic. It had a good long run, 18 years, but was
finally discontinued in 2003. I lucked out, getting a nice price on clean used
one at Marlboro flea last winter -- shortly after production was halted.

My usual source for *shortwave* receivers is U-Do-It in Needham,
http://www.youdoitelectronics.com/
They don't list their current Shortwave line on the website, so you could
call. AES, HRO, Lentini, & Grove have lists, but don't list it, not
surprising; you probably already checked them on-line. Any of them might have
one left, if you talk to a person; but some shops had it back-ordered when it
was discontinued in January, so new-old-stock is likely exhausted by now.

shopping.yahoo.com lists several e-vendors with wildly varying prices ... none
of whom I've ever heard of before, and any of which may be a stale web listing
that doesn't reflect actual state of stock. I would not order from these
froods with any but the most fraud-resistent of credit cards!

In shopping, be alert for any euro listings of ICF2001D, which is the non-US
model (not to be confused with the much older ICF2001 no letter); only
difference is US warranty?

If you like the 2010, the recently updated ICF-SW7600GR has similar syncronous
detection feature (frankly, easier to use) and even more memories (but in
10x10 banks rather than 4x8 buttons), and finally has clock viewable while
listening. It's much smaller, uses AA batteries instead of D's -- not as long
between changes. Works nicely with a short random wire, no overload noticed.
And costs less too. I have trouble deciding which to use some nights.
