      Would you know what to do in an earthquake, a flood, or a tornado? 
What would you do if you could not access your personal finances, there was 
a problem with your clean water supply or a hazardous substance spill in 
your community?

       Any of these could and do happen to Canadians every year.

      Emergency Preparedness Week is an annual event designed to build 
public awareness of these risks and how to plan and be prepared for any 
type of emergency. During the week, a variety of events and activities are 
organized in the communities of every province and territory of Canada.
