[BARC-List] [FT-100] Ford Escort, ATAS-120, side-hitch and wind load question

As I get closer to deciding on purchasing the FT100D and ATAS-120, I'm
likely going to opt for a side-mounted SO-239 hitch.   What wind load can
the antenna take when free-standing?  I'd imagine I should secure it
somehow with some rope or something.

Insights welcome.
