[AZ Ham] 2m Contest this weekend.

Howdy everyone in AZ.

Some of you surely remember me.  I and my wife N5NHC are in and out of AZ often
enough, usually going to dog shows with our Texas Chihuahuas.

There is a 2m contest coming up.  It was started by a group in Texas, and will
be run on FM-Simplex only, avoiding 146.520.  3 hours (1-4pm MST on Sunday
afternoon.  Some of you may have heard about it, some others maybe not.  Here is

Those of you who are participating in it, please listen for me.  I will be
working the < 5 watt class.  I will be hiking to the top of North Franklin
Mountain.  That is a 3-hour hike one-way.  Working SE-AZ from there is a snap.
I will be 1 or 5 watts, 3 el beam, on simplex channels.  I hope to hear some of
you.  Would be a shame to hike all that way and not hear anyone.
