Hi Gang,
	Well, the best plans I had for this event went PU so, I will be
doing my usual trip to Thunderbird Park on north 59th Ave in Glendale for
the contest.  I will have my trusty IC-703+, new SLA battery (the old one
died on field day 8<( and my fishing pole ground plane for all bands 40 thru
10.  I will be checking the upper bands (15 & 10) on the half hour and see
what the bands will bring.  I suspect that 20 will carry the day but I will
start at 1500GMT on 40 meters for a bit and then move to 20 and start
checking 15 and 10 every half hour. I can QSY almost instantly so if someone
wants to band hop and make multi band qsos no problem.  On 40 I will check
both calling freqs and everything in-between.
	Anyone in the area is welcome and encouraged to drop buy and jump in
and play a bit as the FIRST impetus is to have FUN and Contest second. I am
not out to be a rabid full scale head first contester and look at this as a
good excuse to see a few old friends both on the bands and eyeball to
eyeball. ;>)
	Mikey, Floyd, John, Mark, anyone in the local ScQRPion gang that
have some time on their hands but just want to play for a bit please feel
free to stop buy.  Have Cooler will travel!  ;>)
