Yes, thanks so much for inviting me.
I made a number of contacts (as NQ7RP) in the late
afternoon on 20m and left late, with Mike.
It was a near pile-up situation working stations from
around the country. I recall working a station at 200mW
QRPp from TX, for example. FYBO is certainly unique.
I didn't want to "hog" the radio, but that certainly was no
problem. I had not been active with sQRPions for almost
10 years, and evidently neither Mike nor Ed knew the
club call sign, either, since I followed very their lead as
well as specific instructions.
(How many sQRPions does it take to make a contact?) :) :) :)

If you logged "Brian" it was me as far as I know, but
I won't testify to that.
And, this is not even the most embarrassing club operating
situation I have ever been dragged into :)
I once operated with a group as N0EL in Christmas, AZ.
I set up satellite antennas for (then) AO-13 and made a
few contacts. Others were far busier on HF phone and CW.
The call at that time was held by an individual from whom
the club obtained permission to operate around Thanksgiving.
Between that time and the Christmas event, he unfortunately
passed away and services were held.
Hecklers began coming on the various frequencies telling
operators that they were bootleggers and that they had
even attended the funeral of the call sign holder.
It was sad. And, at Christmas time, too!
Anyway, I think the (now defunct) club later applied for and
got the N0EL call sign assigned to them.
I was soooooooooooooo embarrassed. (BOTH times!!!)
