1500L  23 JAN 2026   DO NOT SELF DEPLOY

 ...MAJOR WINTER STORM IMPACTS TONIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY...
...DANGEROUS COLD EXPECTED TONIGHT THROUGH MONDAY MORNING...

 - A very high impact winter storm will arrive tonight through Sunday,
   bringing climatologically extreme snow and sleet totals to the
   entire forecast area.

 - Life threatening cold will also develop tonight, continuing through
   Monday morning. Lows Monday morning will be near or below
   zero.

 - Travel will become very difficult to nearly impossible at times.

 - Temperatures will be slow to moderate next week, so societal
   impacts will persist for several days.



ATTENTION ARES-OK are on Stand-by -  The ALL ARES-OK should prepare to muster teams if requested.
Deployment is NOT expected.
Per NWS briefings most of if not ALL of Oklahoma will be effected.

ARES-OK Leaders (ReginalEC, DistrictEC & CountyEC) are asked to contact their ARES-OK team(s) of leaders and volunteers to insure that they have received this info and are ready to help. Any ARES-OK groups that are called into action by local served agencies are asked to notify the SEC as soon as you can.  Note: Notification can be submitted via emailing ARES Form 1: Public Service Activity Report (see link below) fill in the banks and submit the report to  n7xyo at arrl.net
