[ARRL-OK] OKLAHOMA: Eclipse 2024 ARES-OK HF, April 8, 2024

 I want to express my appreciation to the NCO's (Net Control Operators) for standing by and being at the ready and listening to the HF air waves during yesterday's Great American Eclipse 2024.

April 8, 2024 is 2024 Eclipse.  Every Public Safety Agency along the path is planning for the worst and hoping best outcome.  
Traffic congestion and communication challenges seem to be the major concerns.Totality of the Eclipse is only a few short minutes, the over all effect may be from mid morning to early afternoon.
So just incase ARES is called upon 7260 is TX OK AR and in OK ARES-OK HF is listed 7260 and 3903 .
There has been NO request for service, however we will have NCO's to do a ARES-OK will be LISTENING for traffic between 1200L to 1500L.   Les Stewart AA5LS will be primary NCO in Oklahoma (Thank you Les).
