Subject: [ARRL-OK] All means of daily normal communications are working.

Do the declarations and executive orders by President Trump or the Governor Stitt rise up to the level of a "communications emergency"?

Short answer, no.

All means of daily normal communications are working.
This included the entire public safety communications networks, as well as news and information networks.

The only modification in communication regulations has been the easing the HIPPA requirements as it applies to Tele-a-medicine or video visits with a medical provider.

That being said, ALL the current laws, rules and regulations that govern the communication spectrum/still apply. Please make sure you are following the good operating practices you do day in and day out.

If you have ever reviewed the FCC's enforcement pages at FCC.gov, you can quickly see that it is VERY EXPENSIVE to violate these rules. The penalties can me the loss of your equipment, HUGE fines (in the tens of thousands of dollars), even jail time for infractions.

On a positive note... It has been great seeing the number of participants and check in's for all the nets across the Oklahoma growing. I hope the numbers participants continue to increase.

Have fun, be well, stay safe.

Mark Conklin, N7XYO
