Back in the early 1970s, an outfit in Shawnee named K-Enterprises made a small test oscillator that puts signals at every 30 kHz from AM broadcast frequencies up through the 2-meter ham band. It was used in conjunction with a discriminator meter on the receiver to zero in the receiver's crystal oscillator for each standard FM "channel."
It is also useful for aligning repeater receiver input tuned circuits.
I just found mine but it has apparently gone toes up.
I wonder if anybody might have a schematic of this little device.
