1200L  12/05/2013    UPDATE 1 – REVIEW FOR CHANGES
 
 
TO ALL ARES-OK,  
 
ALL ARES-OK Regions (Z1-Z6) are on Stand-by -  Due to Winter Weather.
  
Per NWS briefings many areas in most of Oklahoma may be being affected by dangerous conditions – SE Oklahoma (Zone6) is expected to see damaging Ice Storm and is currently under a ICE STORM WARNING.
 
STATEWIDE HF NETS:
 
0900L Oklahoma Salvation Army Group net
3903 kHz Lower Sideband Phone (+/- QRM) 
 
1700LOklahomaWeather & Traffic net 
3900 kHz Lower Sideband Phone (+/- QRM) 
 
1730LSooner Traffic Net
3845 kHz Lower Sideband Phone (+/- QRM) 
 
ARES-OK HF WATCH NET will be active:
 
7260 kHz  Lower Sideband Phone (+/- QRM) 
   
If conditions require the alternate frequency will be at:
3900 kHz  Lower Sideband Phone (+/- QRM) 
 
 
ARES-OK HF WATCH Netswill be at the following Times/Dates:  
2100L5 DEC 2013

The need for the ARES-OK HF WATCH Net will be assed during this event and the net can be extended or discontinued based on communication needs.
 
STATIONS IN SE OKLAHOMA (Zone6) are encourage to check in an report conditions, status and any EmComm needs.

ALLARES-OKLeaders(ZEC, DEC & EC) by now should have contacted their ARES-OK team(s) of leaders and volunteers to insure that they have received this info and are ready to help should a communication emergency occur.
 
Local ARES-OK Leaders (DEC & EC) contact your local served agencies to assess their needs and make them aware that your team is prepared.
 
Any ARES-OK groups that are called into action by local served agencies are asked to notify the ZEC for your region and the SEC.  
 
Note:Notification can be automatically submitted viahttp://www.aresok.org/; log in, look underRole Based Activities; choose the linkSubmit an Incident Report; select the county that you are reporting for and fill in the banks and submit the report.
 
Net Controllersare asked pass on this notice and to pay special attention to any EMERGENCY TRAFFIC from the effected areas that is directed to Oklahoma SM or SEC.
