To All Emergency Coordinators (EC), District Emergency Coordinators (DEC) and Assistant District Emergency Coordinators (ADEC):
The ARRL Emergency Communications Advisory Committee has been tasked with reviewing ARES® and NTS and making recommendations to enhance the programs.
We have developed this sixty-five question survey to give us the perspective from the point of view of the ECs, DECs and ADECs who are working closely with the ARES membership and local served agencies.
At the end of the survey you will see this:
Rumor Control Note:This is not an idea or suggestion list. Although we are asking a wide range of questions here, it does not mean that any particular idea is under active consideration. Our goal is to permit a broad range of opinions and ideas to be gathered. The results will be used in discussions by the Emergency Communications Advisory Committee during development of guidance to the ARRL Board of Directors.
Your thoughtful answers will help us establish a baseline from which we can begin thinking about recommendations to strengthen the ARES program.
You may receive this request more than one time. It is being sent via the appointments database and we are also asking the SECs to forward it to their EC, DEC and ADEC email lists. Please just take it one time. We are allowing two weeks to take and submit the survey. We understand that folks are busy so we will send at least one reminder in a week with the hope that everyone will set aside time to take the survey.
Please complete this questionnaire by clicking on the following link, and you will be redirected to an online survey hosted by Survey Monkey. This survey will close Friday November 2nd. <Complete Survey Now>
