[ARRL-OK] Cell phone insurance

"With regards to your cell phone, if you use your cell phone for your
ham radio related activities as you mentioned below it will be
covered."

If you have insurance with the American Radio Relay League and use
Echolink on your device, the carrier will insure your phone, as noted
by the information above.  Of course, not all devices are capable of
using Echolink.  I would also suspect, if you use an APRS program on
your phone, the insurance would cover it as well.  Android and Iphone
devices are however for Echolink and the Blackberry also has an APRS
app available.

covered.  My previous cell phone insurance before cost me $50 per
device.
